Emergencies – Day Time
If there is one principle of life that always holds true it is this. Accidents and illness always occur at the most inconvenient time. At Finlayson Animal Hospital and Alpine Animal Clinic we under stand that and will do everything in our power to assist you in a time of crisis. If you have an emergency please call one of the offices. The staff there will direct you to the office that will be able to see your pet in the most expedient fashion.
Emergencies – Night time and weekends.
When you call our office after regular office hours your call will be answered by our answering machine. The answering machine will direct you to call the veterinarian on call and that is usually Dr. Finlayson. Please be ready to copy down the phone number you receive from the answering machine. If Dr. Finlayson is handling emergencies you will be calling Dr. Finlayson’s cell phone number. Dr. Finlayson carries his cell phone with him all the time. However, he may not be able to answer your call so please be prepared to leave a message and be sure to leave you phone number. If Dr. Finlayson is unable to answer your call he will call you back at his earliest opportunity. Dr. Finlayson is more than willing to discuss your pet’s problem with you and advise you on the best course of action to take. Dr. Finlayson may be able to recommend medications that you have at home to help or control the problem. It is also possible that he may decide to meet you at one of the offices and personally evaluate the problem. He may also recommend that you take your pet to an emergency clinic for treatment. There are two emergency hospitals located on the west side of the valley.

If you feel that your pet has a problem that needs attention right now, you can take your pet directly to the Emergency Animal Clinic for evaluation and treatment. The Emergency Animal Clinic will provide the short term care your pet needs and then have you follow up with our office for additional care, testing, and treatment.
